The GiveALittle fundraiser is now closed, and the results, even after the first 12 hours, were overwhelming!

We were all blown away by the response, and it has been great to know that the community has our back. There we some remarkable donations by individuals, in the thousands of dollars, but even more modest ones that were clearly by battlers not exactly well off. We also had some of the manufacturers get in touch and insisted on being anonymous donors. All of it much appreciated.

Current Status

So, the UK lawyer has now officially submitted the opposition, and the trademark is now in opposed status. We don’t have any definite dates yet, but essentially it’s a waiting game now.

Hopefully there is more than enough evidence presented to determine a ruling, but the law is difficult to understand, and nothing is really guaranteed.

Onwards

The uncertainty is still difficult to deal with at times, but overall we’re positive about the future, and there are many options still available. There are solid improvements coming in the v1.17.0 release, and many more long-term improvements we are busy with. So, the tech goes on regardless.
